Dr. D. M. Mamatha, Fulbright Scholar (USA), Professor & Head ,Dept of BioSciences&Sericulture. Formerly REGISTRAR, Also known for her record service  of 6.2 yrs as Registrar, during which time made the university reach several milestones in terms of getting very competent Research grants to the University to tune of Rs.70+ crores, Captial grants Rs.75+ crores, made the University self-reliant and exemplary with many Best practices. Instrumental in Initiating ‘Innovation-Incubation-Entrepreneurship’ ecosystem in the campus and strengthened it by establishing Three incubators (DST-Tech Business Incubator, DBT-Biotech incubator and MSME- Livelihood Business Incubator) to the Tune of Rs.11 Crores, Promoted International admissions and Collaborative research. Contributed innovative Pedagogies, Curricular revisions, LMS and NEP implementation, signed several International and National MoUs.

 Professionally Prof. Mamatha is a Young Scientist Awardee (2006-07@USA) and Fulbright Awardee (2013-14@USA) specialized in Biotechnology Successfully completed 10 Major Research projects to the tune of Rs.323.06 laks and  4 International research projects of R.41.56 lakhs. Published 38 research papers in Scopus/Elsevier, 5 Books and 8 chapters. Visited several countries viz.,USA, Canada, Egypt, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal on various academic assignments.
