Prof. Shanthi Pavan

Shanthi Pavan obtained the B.Tech degree in  Electronics and Communication Engg from  the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1995 and the M.S and Doctoral degrees from Columbia University, New York in 1997 and 1999 respectively.  Since July 2002, he has been with the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, where he is now the NT Alexander Institute Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering.

He has won several awards for his work, and  is a fellow of the  Indian National Academy of Engineering, the  Indian National Academy of Science and the IEEE. He is currently the Dean (Academic Research), IIT Madras and  has served as the Chairperson of the Curriculum Task Force of IIT Madras.
