Dr. A. Srinivasa Rao, B.Pharm (1990), M.Pharm (Pharmacology) (1994), Ph.D (Pharmacology) (2008) from India’s reputed and nearly 100 years old Government University i.e. Andhra University, Visakhaptnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.  Also he has  been awarded “Fellow Institution of Chemists (India)” F.I.C in 2010 from Institution of Chemists (India), Calcutta, India.

He is 53 years old and he has about 26 years of teaching & research experience in medical/pharmacy and dental colleges in India, Nepal and Ethiopia.  Presently he is working as Professor of Pharmacology & Principal for the last 12 years in Bhaskar Pharmacy College, Hyderabad which is a part of JB Group of Educational Institutions consisting of Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture and Law colleges in one campus.

He has guided 12 Ph.Ds who have got doctoral degrees and another 6 are currently pursuing Ph.D under his guidance.  He has  2 National patents (No.201641009739 dated 21.03.2016 & No.201641014417 dated 26.04.2016) to his credit in drug discovery.  He has published 170 research papers in various reputed National and International journals and another 80 presentations in conferences.  He is also author of 2 text books in the subject Pharmacology most of his research areas include: Screening methods of hepatoprotective, antidiabetic, neuroprotective, nephroprotective, cardiovascular, anticancer activities of herbal/synthetic drugs and development of herbal formulations.
