Brief profile of Dr.E.G. Rajan :

Dr. E.G. Rajan was born on 30thJune,1950 from Tamil Nadu, India. He did B.Sc Physics Major, from Madras University in the year 1969-1970, then DMIT Electronics Engineering, M.I.T, Chromepet, Chennai in the year 1973-1974. During 1982-1983, he completed M.E in Applied Electronics, from Madras University. He obtained Ph.D Degree in Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur, U.P during 1989-1990 in the special field of signal and Image Processing. He taught in ECE Department, IIT Kanpur initially for two years(1990-1992). He was a professor in Vasavi College of Engineering for six years (2002-2006).

He was Dean and Advisor in Gokaraju Rangaragu Educational Society for two years(2006-2008). He subsequently moved to USA and Canada and was Professor and Director from 2013-2016. From 1997 onwards he was President Pentagram Research Center Pvt Ltd Hyd. He has guided 70 Ph.D Scholars so far and 15 are currently in progress. This apart he has guided many B.Tech and M.Tech Projects. He has completed consultancy project worth 47 lakhs and 8 crore proposals have been made in the pipeline. He has conducted International Conferences under Pentagram Research Center during 2000-2017. He has authored 6 books and more than 83 Technical Papers in National and International Journels and Conferences. He know more than 63 technical people in International/ Domestic Scenario. He has introduced 25 original ideas in his academic research and papers published. He has chained 13 conferences. He has held position of Chairman in corporate administration of companies in India, USA and Canada. He is fellow and life member of many professional societies in India and abroad. Notable  are IIE, ISTE, AMSE etc. He has got many distinguished honors and awards.

Notable ones are:

1. Veda Vedi Vibhushana Award in 2013.

2. Bharath Ratna Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Gold Medal award by GEPRA, India in 2015.

3. Mahatma Gandhi Gold Medal Award in 2016.

 He has taught many courses in UG and PG level. He has executed 10 Engineering projects and consultancy to 13 Institutions.
