Academics: As a member and Chairman of Board of Studies in Chemistry in the university as well as several other universities in the state, lot of reforms and changes were made to the structure, syllabus and examination pattern etc in M. Sc chemistry programs with specialization in organic, physical, inorganic, analytical and industrial polymer chemistry. The recasting of the above in the light of semesterization and CBCS have been a challenging job and as a senior member guided the other colleagues for the transformation. Several courses in the subject of Physical Chemistry (both theory and practical's) have been designed in the light of UGC model curricula, CBCS template and also other competitive examinations. I have been invited as paper setter and examiner in the SET exams of Maharashtra and Gujarat and Advisor for UPSC, New Delhi. As a leader of the team, helped the university to establish a novel and innovative Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Science and Technology (CISST) to start futuristic Programs of M. Sc. In Biomedical Science, Earth Science, Defense Science and Bioinformatics etc from A.Y. 2014. Motivation for this initiative was taken from then Hon. Chief Minister Sh. Narendra Modi sir who suggested for such programs during his visit to our university. These programs are developed with active collaboration from scientists from PRL, Ahmedabad, SAC, Ahmedabad, AIIMS, New Delhi and PSM College, Karamsad. DST, New Delhi appreciated this initiative. A philanthropist with the help from SPU Alumni donated handsomely for the construction of a separate building. Helped the Department of Pharmacy, SPU in getting the recognition for M. Pharm programs by the AICTE, new Delhi and PCI, Ahmedabad.

As a Dean (in-Charge), Faculty of Engg. and Technology, Sardar Patel University, guided the members of adhoc boards for revising the syllabus at B. Arch, Bachelors in Inferior Design and Urban Development. Regulations were also framed to initiate the research work in these areas. Assessment and evaluation process have been fine tuned in the light of UGC – CBCS system. M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry program was conceived and implemented from A.Y. 2019. New integrated bachelors – masters programs in applied chemistry, applied physics, materials science, electronics and applied mathematics are designed along with detailed syllabus as per the NEP - 2020

Administration: Served as Prof. and Head, Department of Chemistry, Sardar Patel University for five a year period of Aug. 2016 to July 2021. Served as Coordinator of UGC CAS Program (Phases I and II), UGC – Center for Potential of Excellence in Applied Polymers and DST – FIST programs. Nominated as Govt. Nominee by the Govt. of Gujarat on the Syndicate (2006 – 2009 and 2015 to 2018), Senate (2007 – 2012 and 2012 to 2014). By virtue of this, several initiatives on the affiliation process, examination process and purchase of consumables etc were taken so that the whole exercise of academic process becomes student friendly, economical and effective.

Accreditation: As Coordinator and Co-ordinator (2015-2017 )of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, prepared the SSR in the third cycle, led the univ. team to defend before the peer team members of NAAC, Bengaluru to win A Grade with 3.25 CGPA, the highest among state universities in Gujarat in January 2017. I have also rendered my services as Advisor (Honorary), IQAC, SPU since December 2021 and guided the university in its fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation and retaining the Grade A (Jan. 2023)
